This has been a crazy month! Not only did we have an AMAZING turn out for Open Water III but also went to Laser Tag! It has been a great time of fellowship! Open Water brought people together and was a great outreach! Iris out-did herself making this the BEST Open Water yet! I am already looking forward to next year!
A word from the Word:
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14
This month held an important event around the nation--See you at the pole. It is a time for students to gather at their school flag pole and pray, for the school, the nation, and each other. I was extremely excited to be a part of this and was so encouraged by the people that were willing to take a stand for Christ. Prayer is such an important tool. God has given it to us as an ability to have a direct conversation with the creator of the universe! I am immensely grateful that I have the opportunity to have a conversation with my Lord. Often, Christians-myself included-don't take advatage of the opportunity, we tune God out. He promises us in this passage that if we will simply cry out and be humble, He will be there. My challenge is to take a stand, by prayer! He wants to answer, so in the words of Casting Crowns, what if His people prayed???
